As the day of Christ’s coming and judgment is drawing near, we should be more prepared for His coming. Jesus said, “What shall it profit a man (put your name) to gain the whole world and lose His soul?” Remember you are blessed to be a blessing to others (Gen.12: 2) and everyone shall give account of himself/herself to God (Roman 14:12). Its time to personally examine ourselves and honestly answer some of the questions below and make amends where necessary.
– Will God ask about the clothes I have in my closet? God will rather ask how many people I helped with clothes?
– Will God ask the square footage of my house? God will rather ask how many people I hospitably welcome into my house?
– Will God ask what kind of car I drove? God will rather ask how many people I drove who don’t have transportation?
– Will God ask about the food I eat? God will rather ask how many people who have no food that I feed?
– Will God ask how much is in my bank account? God will rather ask if I compromise my character to obtain it?
– Will God ask about my job title? God will rather ask if I perform my job as
His ambassador?
– Will God ask which church I attend? God will rather ask how many souls I invited to Christ?
– Will God ask about the colour of my skin? God will rather ask how I use my body?
– Will God ask how many versions of the bible I have? God will rather ask if I live according to every word in the bible?
– Will God ask why it took me so long to receive Christ into my life? God will rather ask how many people do I lead to Christ?
Finally, if God found me to be a faithful servant, what will God do? God will place on me a crown of glory and take me to my mansion in heaven where I will live FOREVER WITH HIM and not to the gate of hell. However, if God found that I am unfaithful, what will God do? God will pronounce depart from me, you worker of iniquity (Mathew 7:23-24). God forbid; I want to live with God forever. I, however, receive grace to be fully dedicated and committed as God’s ambassador in all that I do.
My dear brethren, its time for us to lay up treasures in heaven and not on earth, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt and where thieves do not break through nor steal (Mathew 6: 19-21). Even global financial crunch, which is a fulfillment of the scripture, cannot have access into Heavenly banks. Let us therefore seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness (Mathew 6:33). BE A TRUE AMBASSADOR OF CHRIST IN ALL THINGS- 2 Cor. 5: 20
